Strawberry Glaze Pie
Crush 1C fresh berries and cook with 1 C of water for about 2 minutes; sieve and save juice. combine 3/4 C sugar and 3 Tbsp corn starch and stir into berry juice. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
Place 1 1/2 C fresh berries into a baked and cooked 8" pie shell. Pour half of the sauce over berries and repeat. Chill.
Note this recipe makes a great topping glaze for cheese cake and lots of other things. I usually use only 1/2 recipe and frozen berries. (blue berries, black berries, cherries etc., etc.)
