Snicker Doodles

1/2 C shortening                 

1/2 C butter                       

1½ C sugar                      

2 eggs                 

2 3/4 C flour 2 tsp cinnamon

2 tsp cream of tartar

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

2 Tbsp sugar

 

Cream shortening, butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add eggs and blend.

Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture.

Roll dough into 1” balls and roll in mixture of 2 Tbsp sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon.  Place 2” apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes.
