Basic Roll dough (1/2 recipe)
1/4 C sugar
2 tsp grated orange peel
2 Tbsp melted butter
On a lightly floured surface roll 1/2 recipe Basic Roll Dough into a 16x8 rectangle. Mix sugar and orange peel; add butter. Spread over dough. Roll as you would for a jelly roll, starting with the long edge; seal. Cut in 1” slices. Place cut side down, in a greased 9x9x2 baking pan. Cover; let rise in a warm place until double, 30-45 minutes. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 20 minutes. Frost with Confectioners Icing if desired. Makes 16 rolls.
Add light cream to 2 C confectioners sugar to obtain a spreading consistency. Add a dash of salt and a tsp vanilla.
