Fried Chicken

1 Cut up frying chicken                

1 C bread crumbs                             

1/4 C flour                                             

1/2 C Potato Buds

1/2 tsp poultry seasoning

1 tsp salt

1/4 tsp coarse ground pepper

1 tsp paprika 

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1 Tbsp dried parsley

1 egg

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees.  Mix dry ingredients together.  Beat egg in a small bowl. 

Heat 1/2 inch of shortening in an iron skillet.

Dip chicken in egg and then roll or shake in crumb mixture.  Lay skin side down in hot oil until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.  Turn and brown the other side.  Transfer to a baking sheet.  Pour some of the grease from the frying pan over pieces of chicken.  Bake for 20-30 minutes.
