Carmel Rolls

Basic Roll Dough (1/2 recipe)

1/4 C melted butter

1/4 C brown sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

 

On a lightly floured surface roll 1/2 recipe Basic Roll Dough into a 12x8 rectangle. Spread with butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll as you would for a jelly roll, starting with the long edge; seal. Cut in 1” slices.

 

In a sauce pan mix:

1/2 C brown sugar

1/4 C butter

1 Tbsp corn syrup

 

Heat slowly stirring often, do not boil; pour into a 9x9x2 baking pan. Place rolls cut side down, over the mixture. Cover; let rise in a warm place until double, 30-45 minutes. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 20 minutes. Cool 2-3 minutes; invert on a rack and remove the pan. Makes 12 rolls.
