Brandied Buttery Wreaths

Cookies:
2 1/4 C Flour
1/3 C granulated sugar
2/3 C butter, softened
1 egg
1 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
2 Tbsp fresh grated orange peal (1 tsp dried)
2 Tbsp Brandy (1 tsp Brandy extract)
few drops green food coloring

Glaze;
1 1/4 C powdered sugar
1-2 Tbsp milk
1 Tbsp brandy (1/4 tsp brandy extract)
1/8 tsp nutmeg

Heat oven to 350º. 
Mix all cookie ingredients in the large mixer bowl until well mixed.
Starting with rounded teaspoonfuls of dough roll into a 5 inch rope and form into a ring.  
Bake for 8-12 minutes, do not over brown.  

For glaze stir together all glaze ingredients.  Dip warm cookies in glaze and allow to drip on a cooling rack until dry.  Place "Red Hot" candies in wet glaze to resemble holly berries.
