Apple Crisp

1 C flour

1 C brown Sugar

1/2 C white Sugar

2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp salt

1 C butter

2 C rolled oats

2 Tbsp water

8 C fresh, frozen or canned apples. Pared and sliced


Mix together flour,sugars, cinnamon and salt.  Cut in butter until well blended.  Mix in oats.


Put 1/2 of this mixture in a 9x13 pan and toss in the 2 Tbsp water,  Spread evenly and press to the bottom of the pan.  Top with apples and remaining oat mixture.


Bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown and apples are tender.


Note:  If using my pre-mixed frozen apple pie filling leave out the white sugar and prepare as above.
